When the body sheds significantly more hairs every day, a person has excessive hair shedding called telogen effluvium. Excessive hair shedding is common in people who have experienced one the following stressors:
Telogen effluvium usually occurs 2 to 3 months after the stressfull event. Within six to nine months, the hair tends to regains its normal fullness.

AGA is androgenetic alopecia. As the name suggests it is genetic and hormone dependant. AGA can occur both in males and females. Male pattern baldness usually appears by 50 years of age, but can start in teens as well. It starts as noticeable thinning, a receding hairline, or balding. Though irreversible, early treatment can hault the progression of balding for few years.
Female pattern baldness or FPHL begins in midlife. It can begin earlier for some women. It is a progressive condition. In FPHL, the mid partition often gets wider or hair near the temples may recede. Without treatment, some women eventually develop widespread thinning.Treatment can prevent hair loss from worsening and help women regrow the hair. Treatment delivers the best results when started at the first sign of hair loss.
